We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Join me in supporting real change. Let’s support good in the world and make a difference in the lives of foster children. Help Friends of Alameda County CASA Inc recruit, train, and support dedicated volunteers to be the constant in a foster child's life.
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal of building on my passion for yoga and accomplishing the Shirshasana pose for Friends of Alameda County CASA. I will also sweeten the deal for anyone who donates $100 or more, I will eat 1 kale salad in its entirety. For those who know me well, I am not a veggie lover and kale, being a superfood that it is, I'm not really a fan. But this is about helping foster kids and living healthier lives which I whole heartily support both!!!
Over the last several months life has been crazy with work, schedules and our 3 kiddos (all under 3 years). I haven't been as active as my body needs. Since I'm 18 weeks pregnancy and with all the goings on in life. I wanted to focus on an activity that can bring inner balance and focus back to myself. My yoga plan starts with a simple everyday morning yoga routine, a forearm stand focused workout 3 days a week and completing each night with a short relaxing/ meditative night time routine to help with sleep.
I've been involved with CASA for a long while now. I started as a CASA volunteer. Eventually I became to foster parent to my CASA, then later became her legal guardian. Now 23, she is married with a little baby girl, she credits her success in life from being connected to a supportive adult early in her teen years. Since then my husband and myself continued on as foster parents with Alameda County and I was able to re-join with CASA as a Board Member.
